design, execution and evaluation of oil and gas well drilling operations. Managing a team
of drilling engineers, technicians and SMEs, and in coordination with other departments
such as geology, reservoir engineering, production engineering, health and safety and
quality. Providing certainty that drilling objectives are met safely, efficiently and cost
effectively, and that drilling operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
They also monitor the performance of the drilling rig and contractors, and solve any
technical problems that may arise during the life of a well, from drilling to abandonment.
