Maximilian is part of SLB’s Geomechanics Centre of Excellence as a Senior Geomechanics Engineer focusing on 1D Wellbore Stability, 3D & 4D Reservoir Geomechanics including Parent/Child Effect Assessments, Completion Quality (Hydraulic Fracturing), Pore Pressure Prediction, and Fracture Modelling. Maximilian possesses high-class technical experience acquired through complex 1D and 3D/ 4D geomechanics projects, drilling integrity, completion quality and production optimization projects for industry clients in the Middle East, North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Maximilian holds a PhD from CERN (Swiss & Austrian universities) where he gained a strong applied research background in rock mechanics, petrophysics, (clay) mineralogy, geochemistry, data science and Python programming. In 2023, Maximilian was awarded the SLB Platinum Award in AI & Innovation (highest recognition) for his outstanding 3D geomechanical work and the development of a new, innovative drilling expert system for the prediction of drilling risks using machine learning.
